Windows Setup

This guide will help you configure ImperialNIC servers on your Windows computer. This will allow you to access any domains on the Imperial Internet. This guide was created for Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10.

  1. Right click the network symbol (Wifi or Ethernet) in your taskbar and select Open Network and Sharing Center. Alternatively, click Network and Sharing Center in the Control Panel.
  2. Click the blue link next to “Connections” (it likely says “Wi-Fi” or “Ethernet”).
  3. Click Properties. This will require administrative permissions.
  4. Select “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” so it is highlighted in blue.
  5. Click Properties.
  6. Select Use the following DNS server addresses.
  7. In the 2 text boxes highlighted (“Preferred DNS server” and “Alternate DNS server”) enter these following IP addresses:
    1. 138.68.252.180
    2. 138.197.13.244
  8. Click OK.
  9. Select “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)” so it is highlighted in blue.
  10. Click Properties.
  11. Select Use the following DNS server addresses.
  12. In the 2 text boxes highlighted (“Preferred DNS server” and “Alternate DNS server”) enter these following IP addresses:
    1. 2604:a880:800:a1::c08:a001
    2. (Leave “Alternate DNS server” blank)
  13. Click OK, then Close, then Close again.
